BrailleM, is a place for discussing and learning about all
aspects of braille music code. The BrailleM e-mail list is designed to
help beginners in Braille music and give them a place where they can ask
questions of more experienced braille music users. The list will also be
useful to more experienced users, who can discuss more difficult passages
and formats. BrailleM covers any and all subjects related to braille music,
ranging from such practical questions as where to find braille music teaching
materials, where to order braille music material, and how to transcribe
music into braille music code, all the way to broader issues and advocacy
related to braille music.

Blind-X, Blind Exchange Mailing List. Blind-X is an electronic
mailing list which represents two ideas. First, brand x, meaning generic
in nature, and second, blind exchange as in the exchange of information
related to the blind. It is a mailing list for fun, the exchange of blind
related information, a place where new users of the internet are free to
ask questions, and where blind people and their friends are free to express
their opinions and ideas on blind related topics. This means blind-x isn't
just for the blind. Sighted people are always welcome. You can subscribe
in two ways. First, if you are familiar with list subscription, send email
to listserv@maelstrom.stjohns.edu and leave the subject blank. In the body

This is a favorite email reader used by many visually impaired
people and blind net users. I have tried it myself and find it very good
software to use.

GUI-TALK, The purpose of GUI-TALK is to discuss the use of
the Graphical User Interface, (GUI,) by blind and visually impaired persons.
The GUI includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Windows 3.X, Windows
95, Windows 98, Windows NT, X-Windows, the Macintosh OS, etc. The GUI can
also include graphical interfaces used on consumer electronics devices,
office equipment, bank machines, etc. GUI-TALK provides a forum where we
can ask questions and get answers to those inquiries. We can share tips
and tricks, discuss software and hardware used to access the GUI, and more.
This list is sponsored by the National Federation of the Blind and will
occasionally carry announcements of interest to NFB members and our friends
and supporters. GUI-TALK also gives you access to the resources and
information provided by the International Braille and Technology Center
for the Blind, the world's largest demonstration and evaluation center
for computer technology used by blind persons. GUI-TALK will be moderated,
and off-topic messages will not be permitted. People violating this rule
will be warned privately via e-mail. If violation of this rule continues,
their names will be removed from the mailing list by the moderator.

In response to all the poorly implemented frames, unusable imagemaps, ill-conceived
tables, slow-loading graphics-heavy sites, and [SUBMIT] buttons that you
discover are undefined to Lynx only after spending fifteen minutes filling
out the form, we have created Lynx Links. The sites reviewed in this digest
are, naturally, Lynx-friendly. But this does not render them useless to
users of those other browsers. They are, in fact, some of the best sites
they have found on the net, and they highly recommend them to all surfers,
not just Lynx users. They feature an eclectic mix of sites, reflecting
the interests of the staff. But then, our staff consists of regular
