Dancing Dots,
GOODFEEL gives the blind musician timely, direct access to the information
the composer intended to transmit to the performer. It helps equip the
blind performer to act as a leader in an ensemble rather than as a follower.
GOODFEEL, combined with the Lime Notation music editor, enables any sighted
musician to prepare a braille score without needing to know the rules and
syntax of music braille. MIDISCAN or PianoScan can be used to scan staff
notation into Lime's editor, speeding data entry. Blind composers/arrangers
who create MIDI files with Cakewalk or other sequencers can now independently
emboss braille scores of their creative ideas.

There

read single and double sided Braille document at a standard A4 scanner.

them together. A nice piece of work. Everyone that works with Blind people
and do not read Braille will benefit from OBR. For example: teachers who
do not read Braille, public organisations communicating with Blind individuals
and Computerised Braille Libraries. The product is from the Czech Republic
and, as far as I could tell, the price for the software is 590 Pounds or

Print
Braille, is a kit that allows dot matrix printers with no hardware
modifications to print texts in real Braille in a quick and simple way.
It will be easy to produce texts in Braille. All it takes is a personal
computer, a dot matrix printer and the kit. Small texts can be produced
in a matter of minutes. Furthermore, no knowledge of Braille is needed
the system automatically translates the original text (which can be in
any language that uses the Latin alphabet) to its final representation
in Braille. Well I certainly think the companies that make Braille embossers
will not be too happy with this little invention, it certainly sounds unbelievable
but I hope it will be made available shortly. The inventor of this system
is Guy Perelmuter a young Brazilian.
-
The
BBC Tomorrow's World Web Site, This page also gives detailed information
about Guy Perelmuter and his invention, the BBC always give excellent reviews
about products so its well worth visiting this one as well.
